ScoutWired Human Resources Team:

*Human Resources Officer- Permanent

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Have sound English communication in both written and verbal
  • Be prepared to participate in meetings on a monthly basis
  • Have good organisational skills
  • Have a high level of skill in digital documentation generation
  • Friendly and have good interpersonal skills

This role is a great opportunity for a student/graduate of formal education to be able to put learning into practice.

This role is voluntary and not remunerated.

ScoutWired Media Team:

*Deputy Coordinator- Media

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Understanding and experience in using social media platforms and manage digital identities
  • Be prepared to participate in meetings on a monthly basis
  • Provide support to Media Coordinator on team activities
  • Can demonstrate or provide evidence of leadership training in scouting

*Team Member- Media

  • Must be at least 13 years of age
  • Have a creative flair for advertising and creating new media
  • Be prepared to participate in team meetings on a monthly basis
  • Report to Media Coordinator

ScoutWired Chat Team:

*Channel Operator- TeamSpeak/Discord

  • Must be at least 14 years of age
  • Experience in using TeamSpeak and/or Discord
  • Be prepared to attend team meetings on a monthly basis
  • Reports to Chat Coordinator

ScoutWired Games Team:

*Deputy Coordinator- Gaming

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Be prepared to assist the Gaming Coordinator
  • Experience in Online gaming, preferably MMORPGs or other games that allow factions, teams, or guilds

ScoutWired Tech Team:

*Deputy Coordinator- Tech

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Be prepared to assist the Tech Coordinator
  • Experience in Linux and Java preferred
  • Server support experience would be great
  • Some training is available, however a basic knowledge of linux systems is required.

*IS/IT Support- Tech Support

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Basic understanding of information systems and information technology
  • Directly reports to Tech Coordinator
  • Experience in Linux is essential
  • Be prepared to respond to tech support requests
  • Some training is available, however a basic knowledge of linux systems is required.

ScoutWired Training Learning & Development Team:

*Entry Level Trainer– Training, Learning & Development Team

  • Must be over 16 years of age
  • 3 Positions available:
    • Minecraft training
    • Basic Channel Operation/Moderation- (TeamSpeak/Discord)
    • Basic Administration modules (Child Protection and User Management)
  • Interested in mentoring and tutoring Scouting related online content
  • Able to communicate via email, instant messenger, TeamSpeak and Discord
  • Existing ScoutWired competency in the training module that is being applied for is required
  • Ability to complete training in a limited time frame (6 months)

*Senior Level Trainer– Training, Learning & Development Team

  • Must be over 18 years of age
  • Interested in mentoring and tutoring Scouting related online content
  • Able to communicate via email, instant messenger, TeamSpeak and Facebook
  • Existing ScoutWired competency in the training module that is being applied for is required, as well as demonstrated skill in support and development in an online learning environment
  • Ability to complete training in a limited time frame (3-6 months)

*All applicants for all positions must meet the following criteria along with the specific criteria listed above:

  • Must be currently registered with a WOSM affiliated National Scouting Organization (NSO), or be a partner, parent or family member of a registered person
  • Must be able to communicate in written or spoken English (both preferred)
  • Must be able to commit to completing training and e-learning to comply with our organization’s operating standards
  • Good written communication skills (email/TeamSpeak/Discord)
  • A positive Scouting attitude
  • Understand the Scout Law and Promise and how it applies online
